About the Author

Dr. Sriram Kalaga is currently a Senior Engineer in the Transmission Line Division of Ulteig Engineers. He holds bachelors, masters and doctoral degrees in Civil engineering with a specialization in Structural Engineering and Mechanics. He has published more than 35 research papers in various journals and conferences. His research background included finite element methods, buckling of beam-columns, nonlinearities, low-cost composites and reliability-based approaches. He has been involved in transmission line design in the USA for 16 years while his overall experience as a Civil Engineer spans over 36 years. As a consulting engineer, he developed various in-house design manuals and technical specifications related to transmission structures.
Siriam�conducts regular seminars on transmission line design and also participates in teaching workshops on transmission structural design. He is currently a guest editor for an International Civil Engineering Journal and has advised graduate students on their theses. In addition to being a member of ASCE, AISC and ACI, he is currently serving on the ASCE-FRP Blue Ribbon Committee on composite transmission structures. He is a licensed professional engineer in several states in the USA.�

Dr. Prasad Yenumula is currently a Principal Engineer from the Transmission Line Engineering System Standards of Duke Energy.�He earned his bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees in Civil engineering along with an MBA degree with a specialization in Global Management. With a post-doctoral fellowship in engineering, he published more than 50 research papers in various journals and conferences. He worked as a line design engineer, line standards engineer and lines asset manager in the US & Canada for over 20 years. Prasad was responsible for managing and leading a number of line projects and special assignments, along with developing various technical standards & specifications. He is a professor (adjunct) with Gonzaga University, Washington and contributes to the development and teaching of the on-line transmission & distribution engineering Master’s program, and�teaches business students at the University of Phoenix.�His�training classes are�in the areas of line design, standards and line design software.�
Prasad�is currently the Chair of line design task force of the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) and Vice-Chair of CEATI (Center for Energy Advancement through Technological Innovation) International’s TODEM interest group.

Not too scary, just right!

This book was amazing! I bought it for my sister for her birthday and she was up for two nights reading it! The book comes in very good condition as well. According to my sister the plot was very good and she even developed a crush on one of the characters! I'm happy she liked it. You're child aged 9-13 who likes a little scare, but not too much will most likely enjoy it!

This novel portrays Carlos Fuentes’ best; it is aggressive, sharp, and powerful. About the Author
The author of more than a dozen novels and story collections, Carlos Fuentes (1928-2012) was Mexico's most celebrated novelist and critic. He received numerous honors and awards throughout his lifetime, including the Miguel de Cervantes Prize and the Latin Literary Prize.

Una vez mas Carlos Fuentes nos narra historias que nos hacen reflexionar sobre la complicada y necesaria relaci�n entre EEUU y M�xico. Un libro dif�cil de poner a un lado con relatos a veces tristes y a veces divertidos pero que, sobre todo, nos hacen darnos cuenta de una realidad que muchas veces preferimos ignorar. Un libro verdaderamente al estilo Carlos Fuentes.

Exactly what I ordered. The book came in mint condition, and the reading was quite an enjoyable read. Beast boy has always been my favorite character, and this book gives him the light he deserves, proving that there is more to beast boy than his goofy exterior

Not the best Titans book
By The honest truth
The book has two different stories in it. The first one is a mini series thats based entirely on Beast Boy so don't expect to see much of the other team. The other story is pretty bland itself. The story wasn't all bad their were some enjoyable parts but overall and especially compared to volumes one and two it wasn't the best. Also within the first day of reading it the cover fell off which was odd because it seemed to be the same design of the other two volumes but I didn't have that problem with them.

Beast Boy Kicks Butt!

If you're a fan of Garfield Logan (aka, Beast Boy), from either the Teen Titans comic book or even the animated series, then this collection is definetely for you. Not only do we get a lot of character moments and background, but we also get to see Garfield do some long overdue butt kicking, as he tries to prove to everyone that he's no longer just a kid with super powers but a superhero in his own right.

There are two stories in this collection, both of which were written (at least in part) by Geoff Johns, the current head writer for Teen Titans. The first is the 1999 "Beast Boy" mini-series, which has BB on his own for the first time ever and trying to make it in L.A. Personally, I think this is the better of the two stories; it's filled with lots of humor and drama, as Logan finds himself accused of murder and tries to find the real killer. Most especially, it shows that Garfield has now really grown up, and is well on his way to coming into his own.

The second story, "Beast Boys and Girls", jumps ahead in BB's continuity to the current Teen Titans series, with Garfield still older and now back with the Titans. In this story, Garfield loses his powers but must deal with a new villain known as The Zookeeper - a villain who has a connection with Garfield's parents. A little bit more action oriented than the first, but still a pretty good tale - and one that finally gives BB someone who may end up being a very real arch nemesis for him. My one complaint about this story is that, for some reason, the artist kept making him look a lot younger than he should be - Garfield Logan is, by this time, supposed to be about 19-20, yet he frequently comes off as looking younger than he was in the mini-series above. Grumble.

Anyway, complaint aside, if you are a Teen Titans fan of any stripe, and especially if you like the Titan's green shapechanger, then this is the collection for you.

And open note to Geoff Johns: Please bring back Matt Logan!!

This book is an excellent introduction to the field of postcolonial theory, and because it gives you both historical and more recent texts, it really gives you a sense of how the field developed and the directions it's moved in. It is a bit out of date now, but it is still the anthology I use the most, and is the one I'm putting on my syllabus for the introduction to postcolonial lit class I'm teaching. Its major advantage over Ashcroft's The Post-Colonial Studies Reader is that this anthology gives you the full text of the essays it includes - Ashcroft's reader is basically the Reader's Digest version of postcolonial theory, except that in many cases (like Spivak's "Can the Subaltern Speak") condensing the essays makes them more difficult to understand. (I own that one, too, and find it utterly useless; haven't referred back to it in years.) For an introduction to the field, you really can't beat this one. (And if you already know your theory, this contains most of those articles that you refer to all the time and of which you have tatty old copies that you can never find, so this will save you headaches!)

Highly Entertaining

The whole menagerie series is excellent. I have not played Bridge for years, re=read this several years later and it is still amazing. How Mollo invents these bridge hands and the situations around their play is quite brilliant.

If you understand the subtleties of bridge (particularly the Acol bidding system) these are some of the most entertaining books ever written.

To quote the Hideous Hog: "Why didn't you lead a trump, we could have murdered the contract?"
A bit unfair to criticise the Rabbit for not leading a trump when he didn't have one.
"Bah! He didn't even try .."

My dog Loved it! So did I!

My dog really enjoyed the book. He thoroughly digested the information.

Seriously, the book was great. I love Anna Kendrick because she's an awesome, quirky actress that can sing like a boss. Hearing her inner dialogue was super interesting, and surprisingly relatable.

I pre-ordered the book because I was so excited. When it arrived, I didn't want to put it down. Apparently my dog was also excited about the book. I had ONE chapter left, and the jerk ate the last 40 pages. Punk! Good thing he's cute. I had to buy the Kindle version as well so I could finish reading.

Highly Entertaining

I have finished the book. Mind you, I mostly listened to her audio version in the car on my long drive for work. Thank God I did. It was so entertaining. I have the hard copy and audio for it. I have to say that the audio does the book way more justice because we get her full on personality while she is reading. She hits the funny parts perfectly and the awkward parts. I'd recommend having both versions to really get all you can from the book. It's perfect for long car rides. I can totally relate to her short jabs at herself and looking way yonger than I should. Like her, I've learn to embrace it.

Found the Humor in Success

I was really impressed by this book and by the author as a person. There is no doubt in my mind that Anna Kendrick worked her way to her success, and has had more than her share of fun and interesting stories along the way. It's a challenge for anyone to discuss their hard work and success without inspiring some negative opinions from people taking it the wrong way, but Kendrick strikes such a light and humorous tone that makes her instantly likable and had me rooting for her every step of the way.

She took a near-death boating experience and had me laughing out loud at her changing opinions of "The Sea," she made struggling in LA seem like the typical young adult experience, and she gave us a bomb-ass wearing-a-gown-boarding-a-private-plane photograph. Would definitely recommend picking this one up!

All I can say is, I'll be pre-ordering her tell-all when she's 70!

A Slice of History Past.

Michigan's Upper Peninsula is rich in history. Here hunting is a tradition. Bjork's book brings us back to an era where camps were located well off the beaten path and during the Great Depression these forest outposts were used for far more than simiply hunting; they became places of refuge for homeless out of work men. Here they lived off the land.

Bill Bjork takes you on a trip of old camps. He visits the logging and gold mine eras. He tells of Camps with odd-sounding names from Camp Weasel to North Star. The weasel in the coffepot episode is one entry yoou don't want to miss.

This is a one of a kind book that belongs on your istorical bookshelf.
